What is Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship?
~>Mahatma Gandhi scholarship is the scholarship provided by Embassy of India to Nepalese students studying in class XI in recognised colleges or schools of Nepal.
Under this scholarship selected students will get a scholarship of NRS 2,000 per month in the class XI. This scheme will be continued in class - XI, If the selected student gets 50% or above marks in final exam of class XI. The scholarship won't be provided if the selected students gets below 50 % in class XI.

Eligibility:
~>Don't confuse yourself,students from both private and government schools can apply for this scholarship.
You must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks in class X.
You must be a student of class XI.
Steps to apply:
~>Arrange the following documents with yourself
a)Mark sheet of Class 10
b)English translated Citizenship certificate of candidate/Father/Mother scan copy(Those who are not holding citizenship certificate can attach attested copy of citizenship certificate of either father or mother)
c)If you are physically challenged student, then proof is needed. You will get the proof from CDO/LDO/ Municipality Head. Just Go there and say about this scheme.
d)Family income of the student must be less than NRS 2,00,000 per year, you will get this in written form from your CDO / LDO/Municipality head.
Then:
1)Visit https://www.goischolarship.com.np/
2)You will see the explanation of the scheme.
3)Click on continue process
4)Create new User.
5)After creating a account,a link will be sent to your email.
6)Activate your account from that link.
7)Then,go back to that link and Login your account.
8)Click on Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship.
9)Click on 'Continue process'.
10)A form will be opened. Fill the form with your details. Also upload all the needed documents.
11)Click on 'Continue Process'.
12)Cross check all the details.
13)and then submit the form.

The mark sheet of class XII should be sent by November 30, 2024 either physically to embassy of India, Kathmandu or via email attacheedu.kathmandu@mea.gov.in
The scholarship will be discontinued if the selected student fails in class XI or fails to send their mark sheet of Class XI.
